Oh YHWH
My Heavenly Father
Thank You that You are here with me.
Thank You that You never leave me.
I'm glad I can do this for my family.
I'm grateful that You have provided for us like this.
Oh Lord, give me strength to do my work for You.
Give me self discipline to be efficient;
let me be a faithful worker in Your Holy name
I commit my work to You
Thank You that what ever my hands finds to do here will be blessed!
I cast my burdens on to You
because out of care for me, You invited me to!
I put my trust in You
You are my provider!
I come against any lie or stronghold in my reasonings
I reject any thought that is disabling my effectiveness at work
I rebuke any untrue idea that is inhibiting the quality standard of my work
in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Thank You Lord that You will divinely guide me with peace when it is
time to leave here.
I bless You oh YHWHSHUA!

Lord, You have filled our bellies with good food
You have nourished us with wholesome and nutritious food!
Thank You, Oh gracious Lord
for protecting my family and I from evil
Thank You that none of us have been injured or harmed.
Thank You that we live in peace.
I bless You Oh great King for all Your good gifts to us.
Oh YHWH, bless my family
lift up their heads and reveal to them Your humble love
I love You my Lord
I ask oh Lord God in agreement with Your promises
to heal Jethro Samuel completely from his infection.
Thank You oh Lord that by Your stripes he is healed

False fathers and sons
Yesterday we finally visited one of our church friends, our lead
guitarist, my sister brought her kids with and our friend invited his
friends and children to come share bread and paste - which was all
delicious. How good it is to fellowship!
This morning we flew through our Praise and worship practice perfectly.
The team has become very familiar with some of the songs and it's a real
pleasure to do such songs, we flow so harmoniously together in excellent
synchronization. "Sing, Sing, Sing" is always such a hit and the team so
thoroughly enjoys doing it. Eben said the Ben Kleinhans' songs go well
with my voice. He also said that the worship was awesome and it was good
to hear my voice clearly.
Then various leaders shared about the apostolic conference they went to
in Durban!

Elsie sang a beautiful song with the team (which we practice at 9AM as
requested by Eben's yesterday afternoon)
The sermon was about "False fathers and sons";
It's about impersonated fathers and sons used by the enemy to deceive others
We must develop our spiritual hearing because faith comes by hearing.
Then he used Romans 16:10 & another one from Titus to show that "house"
represents a church gathering, and that "Son of man" refers to Jesus in
His earthly pre-resurrection body or followers of Christ in which the
Holy Spirit is evidently and clearly manifest.
The verse where Jesus tells us to call no man "father", he says, has to
do with giving people titles and relying on titles for honor or respect
or spiritual authority.
Matthew 23:24 and Judges 17:6-11
There are consumers,
There are producers &
There are distributors.
We must grow from just receiving to giving, to raising up those who can
train other receivers to give.
Judges 18:16;
A "house" with out a spiritual leader in their correct position is a
"widow's house"
Mark 12:38-40, Psalm 146:9, James 1:27
False sons become false fathers
Matthew 13:24-30 & 35-43
Proverbs 25:2 ("since the foundation of the world")
Revelations 5;1
The point is the false and true appear identical as the wheat and tares
look like, yet one bears fruit that is useless in other words seedless;
producing no "fruit".
Well we picked up soda fruit juice, tipsy tart and non-diary Orley whip
and went to our friends place for vegetable lasagna. We arranged the
meal so I could connect her laptop up to the internet, her email and
restore her old data from her crashed laptop - no problem, data
restored! Her husband is one of the managers or our farms and she is our
clinic sister.
The kids absolutely enjoyed playing on their vast lawns in the perfect
sunny winters day!
Unfortunately we see Jethro has a genital infection some how, so there
are more medical expenses awaiting us, but we're disinfecting it and
also praying for him, we had communion with him and anointed him with
all and we're all trusting the Lord for his healing. Tomorrow he'll go
to the doctor for anti-biotic, but I'll have to settle his previous
medical bill at that doctor probably.

Star light, star bright
Oh YHWH
I enter Your Holy sanctuary
by the blood of The Lamb
Your son; Our Lord Jesus Christ
I repent of my sins
of the thoughts, words and deeds this week, today and even now
that are not in line with Your divine plan.
I realign myself and position myself to receive forgiveness and grace
from You
I claim Your promises to be true for me
Thank You Heavenly Father
That You forgive me my sins
I am set free and delivered
renewed and redeemed.
Thank You that You have made a way for me to return to Your Holy presence
cleanse my heart of feelings that are not from Love
cleanse my mind of thoughts are not from Truth
cleanse my will from desires that are not the best choice, not for and
from Life
You are precious and as I stand before Your glorious presence
I am humbled by Your sovereign majesty
In this pristine place of peace
I gladly receive more of Your Holy Spirit
Fill every neuron in my brain with Your tranquil serenity
order every chemical chain of synapses with Your righteous wisdom
envelope, immerse and overflow your living light lovingly from every
atom of my being
let my ideas and thoughts be so engrossed with Your splendid magnificence
that I am forever changed
and inevitably irrevocably altered
I love You my good Lord and Saviour
I commit my beautiful family to You Oh Righteous King
I dedicate my wife, son and daughters
my sister, her family
my mother and earthly father
my wife's family
our praise and worship team
and our church
to You
Thank You for looking after them and protecting them
Thank You for providing in all their needs

Car accidents
Its always slightly surreal to see the wrecked remains of a motor
vehicle accident. Yesterday while driving home we came upon a Toyota
Corolla with the front engine all but mangled into a few inches of
metallic waste! The receptionist of our sister company new the victim
and said the car was lass than a few weeks old. But the scenery is
surreal because of the way the whole picture is paused and suspended in
traffic clear up animation.
Yet, that's what's strange about it, that all it is , is an unreal
scenario....

Chatting at last
Today something unusual happened, my wife finally used her brothers home
ADSL connection to chat with me. I spent a good measure of time chatting
to our guitarist about why the congregation struggles to freely worship,
we also discussed the tension between musical skill and spiritual
maturity, that often exists in the Christian music ministry.
But it was so nice to have a "window" into my wife's world through this
online chat. We discussed a few things and even agreed and concluded a
few matters. Definitely a "DIFFERENT" dimension to an existing relation
to operate on that level also. Well music rehearsal really rocked. We
had communion, and prayed and our pianist shared 2 Pet 5 regarding what
I prayed about humility. We did Chris Tomlin's "Sing, Sing, Sing" it
really rocked and the team loves it. It was the first time in as long a
time that the team spontaneously continued to play a song after all the
songs were rehearsed, just for the pure enjoyment of it. Tree63's "JOY"
in C & D was also a whole lot of fun as well as "Touch the nations";
"Let Your kingdom come" (our Item song) and "Abba Father". Concluded
with Retief Burger's "Alles".
Jethro came with tonight, my wife kept him home to spend time with him
and bond, and he insisted on coming with.
Fortunately he behaved himself well. At the age of 3 and a half he has
got his own proper rhythm going there on the drums, when everyone was
finished and he could at last have a turn. I'm convinced more than ever
before that I must get him a proper drum kit as an upgrade of the
miniature set he has.
22h15 got to get to bed now

Unproductive day
The day started so well, one of those where one wakes up tired yet
happy. In fact I really struggled to wake up and get out of bed, having
gone to bed way too late last night. I started cleaning up my weekends
email blog posts first thing in the morning and after my freshly
extracted carrot, beetroot and apple juice I had some freshly baked
bread! Saw newborn pictures of my ex work colleague's and the grand
daughters of one of the office clerks our families have know for a long
time both born in the last few days. I burned my toast to smithereens!
But I truly struggled to stay focussed I never focussed on one single
thing! All the managers were back from leave, so the place was
automatically busier.
I let Suzi go run with my sister, which is actually easier because then
her kids play with ours and I only really have to entertain Shannon.
Everyone was tired with Jethro falling asleep before his head hit the
pillow.

Sunday glorious Sunday!

What a glorious sun filled winters day! @ 5 I simmered my bones in some piping hot water - it was fabulous to marinade first thing. Next I extracted some fresh apple, orange and carrot juice - I'm becoming increasingly dependent on that first thing in the morning it just feels oh so good! I compromised on my vegan ideals with some egg on bread - and was thoroughly alarmed afterwards to find out it was NOT free range! Eish! That's unacceptable! Well, at least I communicated my desires on that regard! Praise and worship practice went fantastically smoothly, the musician and singers were coherently synchronized! The apostolic item "Let Your kingdom come" was tremendously enjoyable! We had a blast and once again, my song selection I listed (Millah's birthday above) a few weeks ago flowed from one key to the next so fluidly! Well the guest speaker motivated us to evangelize using his own stories of his outreach in the maximum security cells in prisons. He had some truly inspiring tales to tell! A very radical speaker that brought some fresh air into our congregation. With most of the leaders away at the apostolic conference in Durban and the rest coming back from the winter school holiday we were asked to do the announcements and I almost forgot to introduce our guest speaker!! But I had such a great time on the drums - it was clear everyone else enjoyed it too, thankfully! I love playing them, but I forgot what stamina is required to keep going consistently for just 3 praise songs (fast tempo). A few of us went for tea at a buddy - which was delicious. Honey bush & cream with milk tart and 5 star biscuits! We sat outside in the sun and chit chatted - luckily the children were being looked after by my wifes mom, so we were free for the morning. We totally made it up to them with some intense one on one playing - mostly running, jumping, tickling, tossing one another about - after lunch an peaceful afternoon sleep was cut short by the children. We got Millah done early for her first day back at school in the new quarter. All the children ate their veggies! Isn't it incredible! I trust the Lord my brother in law will get employment closer to work - the long hours in the city of Cape Town, managing some up class restaurant is taking its toll on him, especially the long hours driving the 70-80km (one way) trip! Time to budget for the 3'rd quarter of my years income! need to repay my car repair dept as well as the service for our cute little Toyota razz. I'm hoping to buy a vegetable steamer and on tap hot & cold water filter and a drill! GOD BLESS GOOD NIGHT!
Garage spring clean in winter
Well Saturday was incredible.
Some inner strength from I don't know where deep inside, I finally hadit in me to do wh
at I've been wanting to do for ages - clean out thegarage, wooo hoo! Actually it's far more important to us than it sounds.
This little old house doesn't yet have adequate cupboard packing space.
I'm waiting to buy my own drill to put up shelves, until then we can't afford to have any clutter - enter the eternal archiving environment -
THE GARAGE!
Well, my very subtle compulsive nature couldn't archive without first clearing the clutter - hence they endless procrastination - cleaning it out was more fun than I thought!
(cousins swimming together above) Anyhow, the kids seemed to enjoy it, doing DIY doesn't take away as much from my time with them as I was afraid of. well the day was ended with a dinner with a long lost friend, who has since gotten married and built himself a stunning house in the most beautiful part of our town - but he
has an incredible sense of humor and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We came
home later than I thought, but we were fine this morning!
watching "THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL" Dvd rental
Well, well, well, what a day I had on FRIDAY!!
You must know it was a truly tough day when there was not a moment to
spare for one's poor old blog.
We had the Project Workshop definition this morning and thus ensured the
receptionist of our sister farm's head office, for which we were getting
the first of three Voice of IP (VOIP) Pabx's and of course the IT
manager of the group of companies. Now at Clarotech we discussed and
laid out the needs so they can be logically planned out. Planning to be
there at 09h30 versus 09h00 made all the difference in the world, since
we could spend the time driving instead of waiting in traffic. I did
have to first fill the diesel tank before leaving, but seeing as we
arrived early I had 5 minutes to spare. Either way - the meeting went
well with the only unknown variable being a question regarding the
detail of why the gate phone uses 2 lines when 1 is sufficient for the
guest to make voice request to open the gate and simultaneously send the
tone signal for the gate to open, and also why one of those lines was
terminating in the Pabx at all. Either way, Clarotech is very
professional and Melsetter is truly in good hands.
On the way back I decided to make good a promise to the children I've
made to let them ride in the 16 seater bus. I picked them up and dropped
off Eikenhof's receptionist at their office and the children were
extremely excited about their trip to my office, it was also the last
remaining day before all the managers return from their winter holiday
putting me at greater ease to allow them to run amok should they get out
of hand
Let's just say I spent allot of time running after them and only just
got my work done in time, but frustrations and patience tested - in all,
it was well worth it. They looked so beautiful playing at peace in the
warm but not unforgiving winter afternoon sun, on such a splendid green
lawn as any child could wish for - what's more my flat screen is right
next to the window looking out upon them!
Suzanne had returned all the furniture to the lounge - all be it
("THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL" a tragic but real end to a good period film, BELOW)unvarnished, th
e oil the maid applied the day before will have to
suffice and she'll have to wax it down as much as possible.
After a humble meal spent with my sister and our children playing
themselves into a tired stupor with hers, we ended the day with the
watching of "THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL", which was a fascinating portrayal
of Henry the 8'th his many wives, split from the Roman Catholic church
ce of bedding and swapping of wives to his own contentment
resulting in the beheading of his wife Ann, though she birthed the gal
who would become the infamous Queen Elizabeth! Good old enchanted
entertainment of a historical kind, but with an excellent slant, covering the story from the women, mothers and wives who werecommodities to be used and traded but through it all tried to bring some
semblance of genre equality in a hostile world!

Today is my mom in law's 60'th birthday
60! 6 decades! That's many memories and plenty to remember. It's also
an interesting theological number since that is half of what God
prescribed fallen man's maximum age to reach. We celebrated the
anniversary of her birth by getting her an on tap hot or cold water
filter - being the running enthusiast that she is and having weaned
herself off of other drinks (hot or cold) from her staple liquid diet.
We saved up for it by budgeting from the beginning of the year, which
was something we've never done before and intend to practice far more often.
Today I quickly scanned web filtering software, for the non-profit
community project we're donating to the local farm residents, but I
think we can use this for our company also - this also lead me to the
fascinating topic of the anti-pornography movement which then lead me to
sites dedicated to assisting the more than 50% of professing Christians
that are addicted to sexually explicit media of a perverse nature!
This evening at the "party" we were also discussing a chemical imbalance
in one of our friends; a very active and health conscious person, who
exercises tremendous self discipline and shared his life long struggle
with medication prescribed by every which doctor his parents found to
help their so called "hyper-active" son. It took this friend a long time
to realize it wasn't anything they were doing wrong, but simply an error
in the chemical composition of their make-up... They've finally conceded
to getting a blood test to determine what the source of their constant
physical fatigue is...
Well it's bed time, so I'm going to try a novel thing by praying right
here on my blog.

IBM THinkpad 600x data recovery
Oh but it is so satisfying resolving something succesfully.
I had a decrepit Ibm Thinkpad 600x that belonged to our farm's clinic
nurse. This machine was dead as a door nail and wished only to get the
data off for now, so I had to think "out side" the box.
So of course my first thought was usb to IDE adapter that one gets in
these 2.5" hard drives and so I "went back in time" to find a drive from
more or less that same era. Dismantled both - plugged it in and Windows
7 picked it up automatically (of course!) copy and paste and bobs your
disgustingly simple uncle!!
If only all tech support was that easy.
Now I have this blasted HP Omnibook6000 series notebook. I repaired this
aged thing a few months ago and then the user returned to say the screen
is only barely visible - well, I thought "Good riddens", since this
doing private jobs in work hours was freaking me out. Well who would
have thought the bloke had family that gave him a hand-me-down of the
exact same model. So I immersed myself into the dubious world of
excessively spare quantities of tiny notebook screws! To eventually swap
the screens of the 2 machines because as the villainous Mr Murphy would
have it the problem with the newly acquired family hand me down was a
motherboard issue - meaning the screen was fine! As if! Any hoo, swapped
the hard drives and screens and everybody was happy - but now same
thing, dim screen!! Dim sun!
Any hoo, I've put that on hold because our sister company (The
"neighboring" packhouse has delivered a pc needing repairs (not booting
up) and the IT manager for the entire group of companies has agreed to
allow me to charge them for this, which puts me at ease! Let the ticker
begin tocking!

Praise and worship practice
Last night the kids joined us during praise and worship practice and it was so cute to see Shannon join in. There was a broken mike on the floor that she kept picking up and shouting into, her other hand raised with complete abandon. She was also kneeling on one knee (trying to stand) and waving the flag above her head. Of course Millah and Jethro were playing soccer and an assortment of other physical games, but now and joined in with Shannon in dancing. Jethro was so excited that he would be at last playing on the drums without any adult supervision.
We did the one of the "Touch the nations" songs as an item, called "Let Your kingdom come", which is very cool since it has a very strong apostolic theme to the lyrics, and that is a rare find even amongst charismatic song writers.
Well the music team is really becoming tight, it's true what one of my guitar teachers once said, you need at least 300 hours together before you start musically synchronizing in a cohesive manner. Any hoo, I don't know why I was driving back so fast with a car full of people on the way home, some times something just makes me want to stay ahead - it's so subjective and irrational!
It's nice to have the practice on Wednesday night, I wish the cell groups could meet on Thursday nights instead!
I really hope my motivation will inspire me to remain self disciplined the whole day today so that I can constructively do my work without loosing concentration, to God's glory!

too many late nights
Last night we went to visit our pastor and his wife at their home in
Gordon's Bay. She made the most interesting dish, and a platter of
rocket, coriander, fresh nuts and baby tomatoes, was a well baked, round
bread, with its innards scattered over the salad and sprinkled with
Camembert cheese and inside the bread was a thick spicy herb soup, which
we kept topping up from the center pot of soup and then we ate the
"bowls" with plum and fig jam with coffee. I want to get that little
battery operated frothie machine - so simple, just use full cream milk!
Shannon never slept yesterday so she came with and Millah and Jethro
spent the evening at my sisters. Well we had a few interesting
conversations about the nature of an effective church while we re-tuned
in his public satellite to watch some GodTv.
We fetched Jethro because he still wakes up in the night and with my
sisters husband "day" off from managing the restaurant we didn't want
their sleep disturbed, so I shared a coffee with my sister and her hubby
at midnight before carrying Jethro to my house (they now live one house
away! very cool!).
Well, now I must quickly install my manager's LG flatron, web cam and
Logitech chord less desktop at his home before immersing myself into
comparing and analyzing Farm management software. I think I should
dismantle these 2 old laptops here to see what's wrong with them. It's
an Hp Omnibook6000 and an old IBM thinkpad, eish I don't even think it's
worth the time, but I'll at least get the data off of the IBM Thinkpad!
I hope my brother in law uses Fnb connect support to figure out why his
Mecer usb AUS18CX modem isn't making an ADSL connection today.
I'll share some of the thoughts we enjoyed discussing with our pastor
just now...now its back to checking last nights ntbackup and backup exec
8.5 (old, I know!) reports and the mail servers logs before I
communicate that we'll not be taking DDI on our ISDN upgrade of our main
telephone line in preparation of our Asterisk Pabx installation....

Here comes the Son, do doo do doo..

Wow, these enormous clouds billowing over these cold and ominously dark mountains look majestic now with the sun light shining through, they march along like sentient messengers from a spiritual realm, on a mission to rain down tender mercies to a dry and thirsty land some where. But their dark presence is gloriously beautiful when the struggling sun rays triumphantly penetrate their misty defenses! The light shining on their tops contrasted but their dark bellies magnifies their great presence silently drifting over our heads. What massive quantities of water are so effortlessly being transported over such great distances, it really is a beautiful dance
That can also be a really exaggerated expression of high I feel when one of my little ones, like Shannon Elya, smiles at me with such perfect and happy innocence. It inspires me to be a better man for their sakes and to take the time to face my own inner struggles or personal "demons", with full confidence that I WILL SUCCEED! I WILL TRIUMPH VICTORIOUSLY!

Collections on a cloudy day
Well, I found a nifty little tool for scraping the varnish off of the wooden floorboards last night. It uses a blade, so once the gluey patch is drenched in parafine and left for a few minutes it scrapes off quite easily, needless to say with my sister and her kids visiting and doing all this manual labour, it was a late night. What didn't help was playing the musical beds with the kids who are in a habit of waking up in the middle of the night.
There's snow capped mountain
peaks surrounding this cold and cloudy valley this morning. Today our driver collects our deliveries from the city the last of three 1gb POE Netgear switches for our Asterisk Pabx upgrade as well as a few odds like a Logitek web cam, wireless keyboard and mouse and 19" LG flat screen monitor. I didn't get very far on my evaluation of the software from http://www.crestsoftware.co.za, I must see how the picking progress records of their production reports look like as well as how their teams are set up for the individual piecework bonus is earned by the pickers. I hope to arrange a core 2 duo laptop for a missionary friend currently in Malawi.
I'll do a logmein session to compress a sql database and email it back to myself and a few technical support odds and ends, like one of the managers from the Packhouse's wireless connection that's not working - we suspect the connection manager is corrupt.

(no subject)
I go to a little branch in Strand of the "big" Oasis church in Kempton, now as the worship leader I've chosen the songs for this week. We're doing a song written by a church that is leading the way in this whole "Apostolic movement", well they're writing songs of the Apostolic theme. But this evening I'll be removing the rest of the old glue from my wooden floors in our lounge. We took the carpets out to renovate the wooden floors boards. It looks good, but without machinery it is a WHOLE lot of work. Any way I found a trick; after trying thinner, turpentine, spirits I found that parafine lifts the glue of the easiest!! Problem is parafine even removes the old varnish! Either I must borrow a a sander or I'm going to have to do it by hand, which just doesn't work!

Great scott
This world of interconnect networks is incredible. The limits are truly
endless. Hello http://seansno42rants.blogspot.com/ here I come!

Well I've immersed myself into a world of site submission and free advertising, mean while back at the ranch I still haven't signed my Telkom ISDN application forms. At the very least I finally have my temporary PDP license so now I can drive our little 16 seater van full of staff home with peace of mind. But now it's time to get back to work....
Isdn Applications on a cold and rainy day
It rained all night last night and today really is a blue Monday. Today I will be signing and submitting our ISDN2 application forms to Clarotech upgrade our switchboard to Asterisk. Getting the Telkom red tape out of the way it the first step. I'm also trying to find out if one needs a different dial up number for ADSL when using on of these el cheapo ADSL modems.
I just hope I get a chance to test out www.crestsoftware.co.za's Farm Management Systems with the Access database they custemised with our data, because I need to attend a BEE meeting (to inform us where our own company (www.melsetter.co.za) is going with regards to Black Empowerment and I simply must get my PDP license replaced with a temporary. Loosing a drivers license in South Africa is worse than donating blood! Why do they have no record of a person after all the hoops they make us jump though, I should be able to arrive with only photo's, money and my ID book! Anyway the "spare" driver makes all the ladies very nervous! So I got to help out our driving pool's drive shortage...
I also noticed ping.fm updates twitter, but not using the ping.fm email account (which updates all the other social network sites okay)... Isn't this just the cutest picture of my 3.5 y/o son - Jethro Samuel - he thoroughly enjoyed dancing with the worship team yesterday morning - but I discovered he was answering all the sunday school questions correctly, which is cool considering he is the youngest in that class and Afrikaans is not his home language...
