Romans 11:25-32

Ro 11: 1
Did God reject his people? By no means! I am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin. 2 God did not reject his people, whom he foreknew.

7 What then? What the people of Israel sought so earnestly they did not obtain. The elect among them did, but the others were hardened, 8 as it is written:

"God gave them a spirit of stupor,
eyes that could not see
and ears that could not hear,

Ingrafted Branches
11 Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all! Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious
13 I am talking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I take pride in my ministry
18 do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. 19 You will say then, "Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in." 20 Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but tremble. 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either.
All Israel Will Be Saved
25 I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, 26 and in this way[e<http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans+11&version=NIV#fen-NIV-28236e>] all Israel will be saved. As it is written:

"The deliverer will come from Zion;
he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.
27 And this is[f<http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans+11&version=NIV#fen-NIV-28237f>] my covenant with them
when I take away their sins."[g<http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans+11&version=NIV#fen-NIV-28237g>]

28 As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, 29 for God's gifts and his call are irrevocable. 30 Just as you who were at one time disobedient to God have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience, 31 so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now[h<http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans+11&version=NIV#fen-NIV-28241h>] receive mercy as a result of God's mercy to you. 32 For God has bound everyone over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.

Happy. Happy. All the kids snugling in bed with us. Doesnt last long with them fighting for blankets. But insert six icy feet into a warm bed and youre quickly inspired to get up

Listen to the pouring rain. The sound of the water gushing out the drain pipes. The rising and falling hum of the cold north wind driving the raindrops against the rooftops. A warm cosy bed's comfort is so much more appreciated when one experiences the natural elements peacefully unaffected.

So warm and cuddly in bed. Glorious holidays are made for staying in bed for no good reason:) excepting unadulterated laziness. Oh bother

"We tend to think of gene's as a determining factor (of intelligence)... genes are just as dynamic as every other aspect of our development"

memories

This morning I snoozed a bit longer than usual. Shannon was there between Suzi and I again. As usual, a need to relieve myself forced me out of bed. The bed was so nice and warm in the cold air. Tried hard to continue sleeping but Jethro insisted on demanding something while I was trying to sleep and the cat refused to stay off the bed.

Well, I had corn flakes and later Suzi boiled eggs and I made toast for it. We all had egg on toast and afterwards I made coffee.

We watched “SWITCH” (while the kids watched “Monster’s Inc.”); about the guy who is close friends with a girl, and the girl wants to have a child from a donor and is unaware the guy is in love with her and he accidentally swaps the donor sperm with his own in his drunk stupor.

She kept asking when I was going to visit my dad who was put in hospital yesterday on Millah’s birthday. I was keen to take it easy and go slow, enjoy the movie.

After the movie, Shez finally called to ask if she can bring the kids over, Suzi was very, very unhappy about that. So, I thought and thought and called my dad at the hospital. We chatted about how hard it is for us to learn from our mistakes. He said the chronic medication he was taking for his heart was lowering his blood pressure and after 5 years of taking it, was ruining his health. In the end He and Shez said they don’t want Bethany to wonder where he was, because it upsets her when he is ill or in hospital. I offered to fetch them, but for some reason they insisted. Suzi was so upset about this. That we argued and parted ways. I listened to music on my new Nokia X2 while she cleaned the yard and house.

I made some tea and lay on the trampoline while listening to Lark and Queen through faulty headphones that for some reason only played a part of the song (like the 1 side of the stereo track), so the song sounded totally different.

When Shez came she left pretty quickly because the Easter traffic was heavy and she wanted to get back in time for Hospital visitation time. Showed Shez the girl’s room and she chatted with Suzi before leaving

The kids and I looked at the birthday gifts Shez brought Millah and then we had toasted cheese and tomatoes.

Then the kids and I took the dogs to the country club for a walk in the forest. Jethro road his little red bike. We stopped in the trees while they played with sticks and then Shannon made a poo, so we had to take her to the dam to wash her since I didn’t have any toilet paper, but the water had receded so far, it was quite a long walk there and the kids stayed playing with sticks in the trees.

When we got back they bathed while I watched BBC’s “What makes a genius”.

We had a very cheesy pasta source together and then I typed this blog while they played.

I think so much of the day was wasted with our fighting. It’s funny how one just doesn’t have much going on when your closest partner is distant. One is suddenly more bored or less stimulated.

Then I sent this to the wrong blog which emailed it to a whole lot of people instead of here to my personal blog.

That’s the problem with having an alias for your own personal journal being too similar to an alias for a distribution email list! I’ve certainly fixed that to prevent future blunders.

I can't relate to some tele-preachers, they're like aliens! But let me see someone worship, I feel an immediate connection with them. This warm ball of dust floating in silence through space, we suddenly find ourselves immersed in an ocean of man-made activity, yet; understanding the meaning of this existence is pointless when one considers how many will die today just for a lack of food or water....

Got the quad bike thoroughly entrenched in the quagmire yesterday on the way to moving the Leopard-cam to a better location, was NOT fun... second time our mechanic heroically saved the vehicle I used to move the Leopard-cam...feel that sissy kind of rugged incompetence feeling approaching...

Data spring clean, seems to be the day for making space on the Suse Linux Asterisk server on the backup drives and even me own trusty laptop, wouldn't ya know - I should be doing a disk image from a 5400 rpm drives to a 7200 ones to help improve performance on some of these old machines, but that will have to wait till after I install Eikenhof farm's Hp2320 Mfp.
Monday morning - you're so horribly nasty to me! For shame! Took a few gallons of Coffee to get me going, and now I'm rearing to go, wait - what are we doing?

POLICE DOG ( Priceless)

This is undoubtedly the most expressive picture I've ever seen of an animal

You can almost hear him say these words;

"You want me to do what?"

The look on this dog's face is priceless....

You Can kiss my ass, "I aint smellin' those!"

grap

Man vat sy siek vrou Dokter toe.  Na die ondersoek sê die Dokter vir man, 'Ons het hier met 'n baie lelike ding te doen.'

Man sê: 'Ek weet Dok, maar sy is regtig goed vir die kinders'.
